Queenswood. What can I say that you don't know? i've spent here nearly a month, and i have really liked it. It is exhausting, because you sleep very few, and you are all day long in class, but it is a good way of improving your english, make new friends, and have a lot of fun. So, if you want to do all those things at the same time, and you don't mind about only eating pizza or pasta, and non sleeping, it is a good idea to come here.

how would your life be if you had been born on the 16th century?
When you are asked this question, the firts thing you think is that it would be very funny to be a knight or a princess. But actually, about 90% of the people lived in small villages working on the field. It was a very hard life. You had to wake up by the same time that the sun did it, and spend all day long working, eating only potatoes and sometimes any peppers. And this was what you had to do everyday, with no holidays, with no weekends, with anything, only working. And then imagine that it doesn't rain... You won't be able to eat during a whole year.

Art
What is art? Something beautiful? A way of express your feelings? Just everything you can do with your hands?
I don't know many things about art. I just know when i like something and when i don't, or at least if it took a lot of effort to be made. So when I see "Las meninas", or "el david" of Miguel Angel I see wonderful pieces of art. If I see some other portraits, pictures or statues, i don't feel anything, but I konw that it ook a lot of time and effort to the autor to make it.
But when yesterday I went to the Tate museum, and I saw thing that could have been done by my little brother i felt that it was a bit a waste of time. When I was a child, once my parents punished me because I had drawn on the wall and, gess what?? IT IS ART.
One time, our teacher explained us that modern art doesn't try to be beautiful, that it just tries to be a way of feeling expression, so you have to understand the picture, te photo, the song, or whatever it is. Then I thought that maybe modern art is not as stupid as I thought. But sometimes it is just impossible to unaderstand what the autor meant when he made his sculpture or his painting.
What kind of feelings do you feel when you see that?
Anyway, the excursion to the tate museum was quite interesting, I cuold see some spanish art, so i was nice.

superheroes
I supose you all have heard about superheroes: superman, spiderman, batman, wonderwoman, catwoman, wathman...
there are thousands of them but, what about real heroes??
Many people would say they are their favourite football player, or maybe their favourite musician...but, are they real heroes??
I don't think so. Think about it...

I don't like mondays
Do you know what day is today????
MONDAY!!!
I hate them. You are tired because of the weekend, because you have been going out, because you slept less then during the week, ... You have relaxed, you have enjoyed, you have forget everything about your work or about you studies, and suddenly... MONDAY AGAIN!!!
You have wake up early again, have your breakfast very fast (if you have time enogh), run to your work, concentrate again on it....
I guess most of you also hate mondays, but don't worry, you can think that you only have to wait 5 days more to the weekend.

Living in England
As you know, English people have some different customs from the rest of the world. For example, the drive on the left side of the road. When I went out from the airport and i went on the bus, i thougt i were going to become crazy. Now i'm used to drive on the left side, so it will be difficult to drive on the right side, and I have to pass my driving test next month.
Another important difference is having dinner at 6 o'clock; in Spain, as in the majority of countries, we have dinner al 9 or 10 en the evening, so it is difficult for us to get used to, so most of the people are always asking for pizzas. Weather is also strange, because it is always cold and raining. This can make people to become depressed, and it can also make you to become ill, as it is happening to the half of the queenswood's pupils, because we are used to a more constant weather.
Anyway, there are too many more differences that make England an interesting place to visit. I think I will get used to them.

Queenswood changes
Hi everyone. This is my second week at queenswood, and they have made some changes in the classes, so some people have changed their level. I'm one of them, and now i'm at advanced classes. They told me that i'm at the top, but i think it is not very difficult. Maybe i'm better than i think, but i don't think so.
Because of those changes, now i'm not at the same class as Sylwia, so we aren't sharing this blog anymore. Anyway, i'm too lazy, so i won't change anything.
About our daily life, i think it is quite interesting. At our academic classes we work about interesting topics like differences between male and female brains, or how important laughing is. After having dinner,we do different activities, but i think they are quite bad organised. During three different days i went to the pool: the first day we couldn't go in, and the other ones we had to wait one hour before entering just waiting for the life guards. Yesterday i decided to change, so i signed in badmington. Guess what? We had to wait nearly an hour at the door before they find the key. Although those things, i'm having fun.

living in queenswood
Queenswood is a very nice place to study English. We have tennis courts, a pool, many classes, and many other things. We also have English classes with very nice tachers. Well, not every teachers. We do many excursions to many interesting places as for example the british museum or bowling. We can als know many interesting people from many different parts of the world. It is a good experience if you want to have fun:)
trip to london
Yesterday we went to London. There, we visited westminster, the Big Ben, The trafalgar Square and finally the British Museum. Most of the people doesn't like museums, so they stayed outside. Amadeo thinks that museums are interesting places, so he went into just during 1 hour, what was very little time. I thought it was a very big museum.
